PhD thesis writing help in Bangalore
Chapter help for Bangalore PhD scholars, shaped by their university’s rules.
Yes, we help Bangalore PhD scholars write their thesis chapter by chapter, from Nagercoil, over phone, WhatsApp and video calls.
We work remotely only. There is no office of ours in Bengaluru. Our team also won’t come to your campus for meetings. But we have read the rules of each Bangalore university carefully, because your thesis is judged as per those rules. Think of three scholars. One is with VTU through an engineering college, one is with Bangalore University at Jnana Bharathi, and the third is at CHRIST on Hosur Road. All three are writing a PhD thesis. Still, for each of them the steps come in a different order and the deadlines also differ. Even the first reader of the thesis changes, and your writing plan has to follow that.
Whatever rules we mention below, we took from the university’s own regulation documents, and we checked them again in October 2026. What we do on each chapter is already on our PhD thesis writing page, so we are not repeating it.
VTU: your synopsis is the first thing the examiners read
Many VTU scholars think of the synopsis as one more form to fill before the actual work starts. In VTU it carries much more weight than that. As per clause 8.4 of the VTU PhD Regulations 2023, the Vice Chancellor selects one adjudicator from Group A and one from Group B. After that the Registrar (Evaluation) sends both of them an invitation with a copy of the synopsis “covering all the chapters of the Thesis”. These two people don’t know you. From the synopsis they decide whether to accept your thesis.
So in your plan, keep the synopsis as the last piece of writing, after all chapters are done. Many times a scholar lifts the synopsis from the proposal written three years back. Then the synopsis is talking about some work which is not there in any chapter, and when thesis reaches the adjudicator he will see this gap quickly.
Before all this comes the colloquium. Clause 8.1.3 asks for the synopsis in English and in the VTU format. It has to go in a minimum of three months ahead of the thesis, and it must summarise your findings and the papers you published out of them. Your research centre forwards a panel of twelve experts with it, six in each group. None of them can be on your Research Advisory Committee.
The March 2026 checklist mention one more point that scholars mostly miss. Whatever name, USN and thesis title you type online, the same is printed on your provisional degree certificate and convocation certificate. Check each letter against your approval letter before you press submit.
Bangalore University: the colloquium wants your methods and your data
In Bangalore University, the step that fixes your writing timetable is the pre-submission colloquium held in the PG department. Clause 17.3 of the 2024 regulations says you show the faculty and supervisors your method, and also the data you gathered with the analysis done on it. That means your methodology chapter and your analysis should be written before the colloquium itself. Suppose your results are still lying as rough notes in the laptop, the faculty will find very little to see in your presentation.
The paperwork moves fast after this. The chairperson of the department forwards the colloquium proceedings to the Registrar (Evaluation) the same day or the next working day. You give the requisition through your supervisor and attach five copies of the final synopsis along with it. Once the permission comes, you have six months to submit four copies of the thesis. When the six months are over and the thesis is still not in, it is the Doctoral Committee who decides about your case.
Scholars also ask how early they can start. The requisition can be filed up to six months before your minimum period is over. For a full-time scholar the window opens at three years and closes at five years. For a part-time scholar it opens at four years and closes at six. Suppose you are in your third year and only two chapters are ready. Then count backwards from these dates now itself.
CHRIST and IISc: who has to sign off on your draft
CHRIST keeps a strict order for approvals. As per the 2022 regulations, you can submit the synopsis only two years after coursework. It is presented in an open session and the RAC approves it. After that the draft thesis needs approval from your supervisor, the RAC and the coordinator, and only then will the Centre for Research accept it. The July 2025 format guidelines want the draft in PDF and also as a Word file. Four documents go with it. They are the filled proforma, the form that shows RAC approval, your similarity report and the receipt for the adjudication fee.
Some appendices are also compulsory as per these guidelines. One is a list of the papers you published and the conferences where you presented. Where human subjects or animals were part of the study, you have to add the approval letter from the Research Conduct and Ethics Committee. The consent forms also go in, but first remove the personal phone numbers and email IDs from them. For the abstract, keep the length anywhere from 350 to 500 words, and at the bottom give minimum three key words. Collect these papers during the work itself. Running behind an ethics approval form in the last month is very stressful.
For IISc, the time limit is the hard part. The Student Information Handbook gives you six weeks after the colloquium to submit the PhD thesis on ScholarOne. If the examiners send it back for revision, you get 30 days to return the corrected thesis with a note on the changes you made. Six weeks is too short to write even one chapter. That is why the full thesis should be almost final before you announce the colloquium.
RGUHS: an external examiner sees your synopsis early
At RGUHS, health-science scholars face an outside reader earlier than in most universities. Clause 11.1 of the Revised Ordinance 2021 says that before the final synopsis, you present your work to a small panel. The panel has your guide, one examiner from outside and an observer from your specialty. Only after this presentation is the final synopsis submitted, as two soft copies and two hard copies.
If you are a clinician writing in between ward rounds, treat this presentation as your actual deadline. By then an outsider should be able to follow your whole argument from the chapters. We usually tell scholars to get a clean draft of the methods and results chapters done first, since an external examiner from your specialty will question those two the most. The introduction and the review of literature can be tightened later.
How it works from Bangalore
To start, send us a WhatsApp message with the university that awards your degree, the stage your thesis is in, and the date of your next review or colloquium. VTU scholars can also add the year code from their USN. From our side we will ask some questions back, and then we fix a call time that suits you.
In the first call we go through what you have written. After that we send you a written plan. It lists every chapter, the order in which we will take them up and the date each chapter will come back to you. For VTU we plan backwards from the colloquium date, and for Bangalore University from the six-month window after permission. For IISc scholars the plan finishes well before the colloquium date is even announced.
Whenever one chapter is finished from your side, mail it or WhatsApp it to us. We send it back with our corrections in tracked changes and notes in the margin, and then we discuss about it on a video call. Which change to accept and which one to leave is fully your decision. The thesis is in your own words and you will face the defence alone, so nothing goes into it that you cannot explain yourself.

Questions from Bangalore scholars
Can you help me if my research centre is in a Bengaluru engineering college?
Yes. Scholars in a Bengaluru engineering college are mostly registered under VTU. We plan your work around the VTU synopsis, the colloquium and the three-month gap before the thesis goes in. In your first message, please mention your research centre and your USN.
When should I write the synopsis?
Write it at the end, or very near the end. At VTU the adjudicators take their decision from the synopsis. At Bangalore University five copies of the final synopsis are submitted with your requisition. When the synopsis is written before the thesis chapters, many times it promises more than the thesis actually gives.
I’m at IISc and my colloquium is next month. Is it too late?
If your chapters are already written, you are not late. Before the colloquium we can read the full thesis and check it for consistency, structure and language. But if whole chapters are still missing, the six weeks after the colloquium will not be sufficient. In that case it may be wiser to shift the colloquium.
Do you write the thesis and give it to me?
No. Ghost-writing a thesis for someone is not our work. You write the chapters, and we work on them along with you on structure, argument, language and format. Every page has to be your own, because the examiners can ask you about any page.
I’m a part-time scholar at CHRIST. How does the twice-a-month meeting rule fit my writing?
Clause 2.c of the 2022 regulations expects you to meet your supervisor at the university at least once in a fortnight. Make proper use of these meetings. Carry one section of a chapter to every meeting, in place of a plain progress update. Done regularly, most of the thesis gets drafted this way.
