Research paper and publication support in Hyderabad
Paper support for Hyderabad scholars with a publication rule to meet.
Yes, we help Hyderabad PhD scholars prepare journal papers that meet Osmania, JNTUH, UoH or MANUU rules, and we work remotely from Nagercoil.
For many scholars in Hyderabad, the publication condition takes more time than any chapter. JNTUH asks for four papers. Osmania asks for two, written jointly with the supervisor, and the set of journals allowed is smaller than earlier. Writing the paper, most of the scholars manage with a little help. Where months actually go is in finding a journal. Some scholars also get a paper printed with the author names in wrong order, and then it becomes a big headache. We work with you on phone calls, WhatsApp and email only, and there is no Hyderabad office.
For the general service, from shaping the manuscript till replying to reviewers, see our research paper and publication page. The Hyderabad university rules decide whether your paper is counted, so they are given below.
JNTUH asks for four papers with a fixed author order
As per clause 9.1 of the JNTUH regulations, a scholar needs four papers. Minimum two of them should be in peer-reviewed Web of Science, SCI or Scopus journals “with good Impact factor”. If there is any doubt about a journal, the UGC CARE list is consulted. If you want an exception, the DRD has to refer your case to the VC.
In many labs the author order is decided by habit only. JNTUH has fixed it in the rules. Your name as the scholar comes first. After that comes the supervisor or co-supervisor, and the affiliation has to be JNTUH. The regulation itself use the word mandatory for this order. If your supervisor’s name is first, or only your college is shown as affiliation, the paper may not be counted. Check the title page of every manuscript before submitting, because changing the author list after publication is very difficult.
External scholars should watch one more point. In Category 5 registration you have to sign regarding IPR and publications, and JNTUH is named there as your affiliation. If you are working in a Hyderabad company, your employer may also want the company name on your papers. Talk to your manager and your guide about this before the first submission itself.
Osmania 2026-27 wants two joint papers and bound reprints
Clause 25 of Osmania’s 2026-2027 rules says at least two papers should be published jointly by the scholar and the supervisor before the thesis is sent for adjudication. These journals should be peer-reviewed and listed in Scopus or Web of Science. A single-author paper does not satisfy this clause. The journal may be very reputed, still it is not counted.
You need physical proof also. Clause 27.8 asks you to bind the original reprints into the thesis as an appendix. Keep the final published PDF of each paper safely. Where the journal is giving printed reprints, please request for them. An acceptance mail or its screenshot is not taken as a reprint.
Many scholars ask us why the journal list is so small now when compared to their seniors’ time. The national list those seniors used is not there any more. The UGC discontinued UGC-CARE listing through its 11 February 2025 notice. Some journal websites still show “UGC-CARE approved” on top. Maybe the page is old and nobody changed it. It is also possible that the journal is not genuine, so be careful there.
UoH and MANUU ask for fewer papers, with different problems
MANUU’s 2023 regulations ask for at least one refereed journal paper before the thesis goes for adjudication. Only one paper is needed, and many scholars relax because of that. Review in a refereed journal can take some months easily, so start the manuscript much before your pre-submission seminar.
At the University of Hyderabad, your paper can create an unexpected problem in the similarity check. As per the 2026-27 prospectus, overlap between your thesis and your paper is ignored only if you are the first author. In shared lab, many times a postdoc or the supervisor leads the paper, and you become second or third author on your own results. Fix the author order early with your guide. And when you write that thesis chapter, don’t copy from the paper. Even if your paper is already published, the chapter text should be newly written by you.
Choosing a journal that your university will accept
The JNTUH clause says “good Impact factor” but gives no number for it. Ask your supervisor and the DRC what they accept. Get it in the meeting minutes if possible. For Osmania the check is simpler. See whether the journal is listed in Scopus or Web of Science at present.
We check with you whether the journal is still indexed today. Then we see the website is really of that publisher and not some copy. Scope also we match with your paper. Scholars in Hyderabad get the same pile of mails from “indexed” journals as everyone else. If a journal promises a decision in seven days, or wants the fee before review, we drop it there itself.
How it works from Hyderabad
Message us your university, how many papers are already published, how many are still needed and your target submission date. Send us chapter or results from which the next paper will come.
From our side we give a short list of journals. Each one should pass your university rule and suit your topic. Which one to pick, you and your supervisor decide. You write the draft. We work with you on the structure of the paper, the English, the journal format and the cover letter. When reviews come, we help you reply to every comment. We agree the work, the timeline and the fee in writing first.
You submit the paper yourself, from your own login. No payment to any journal goes from our side for you. Acceptance also we can’t promise to anybody. You and your supervisor are the authors, and the editor takes the final decision.

Scope, stages, timelines and how we price the work are the same wherever you are. See research paper and publication support.
Questions from Hyderabad scholars
Does JNTUH accept a paper where my supervisor is first author?
It may not be counted. As per the 2021-22 regulations the scholar’s name comes first, and this order is mandatory. Exception cases have to go till the VC for approval. Don’t keep your hopes on that route.
Can I count a paper I published alone for Osmania?
No, that won’t work for Osmania. As per the 2026-2027 rules your supervisor also should be there as co-author along with you. If only your name is printed, that clause is not satisfied.
Is a UGC-CARE journal enough for Osmania now?
The 2026-2027 rules mention only Scopus and Web of Science. Also, the UGC has stopped listing CARE journals. In case your admission was under the older rules, one time ask the Dean’s office which rule is applying for you.
How long will it take to get a paper published?
This depends on the journal. Many publishers show the usual time to first decision on the journal page itself. Look at that number before you submit. Revisions take extra time on top of it, so plan for that also.
Can you meet my supervisor in Hyderabad to discuss the paper?
We don’t hold any meetings in Hyderabad. If your supervisor wants, he or she can join a video call with you and us. That works fine for most papers.
